IMPORTANT WAYS TO PROTECT YOUR DOGS FROM FLEAS

Fleas can become a nuisance, I bet your so disgusted with the way they are constantly around  your house and on your dog.    Dogs, People and  many other animals suffer, because of the lack of knowledge needed to protect us from these little critters called Fleas.    I have 3 dogs, and it just saddens me that they are constantly scratching, and rolling on the ground, and barking.   I ask myself what am I going to do?   I have spent countless days and nights without rest, because the fleas have become a part of my home and my life as well as my poor dogs life.  We’ll No More,  I have had it!   I did some research on the internet and of course I thought to myself, that If  I could find a solution to the flea problem I could rest peacefully and get a good nites rest.   You see its the dogs that suffer more then you or I, they are the ones that are very disturbed that a hitchhiker just landed on their back, that’s right I called it a “hitchhiker”, because the fleas just make themselves at home, and they live on my poor defenseless dogs.

Whenever I see those dogs scratch, I just want to cry.   I tell myself is there hope? Yes there is hope, but you need the knowledge to know what to do to prevent fleas from entering in your home or getting on your dog.   Thats when I found this site, “ How to protect your dog from Fleas” which was quite interesting to me.  I read the website and found so many interesting things that really help me control the problem with the fleas.   I’m happy and so are my Dogs.

Finding Your Own Dog Training Advice

Article by Fatima Edris

Dog training advice is created so that owners and trainers are well guided with the dos and the don’ts when it comes to training their canine friends. Always make that you provide a fun and eventful training for your canine friend. Training shouldn’t be a torture session but instead it should serve as a bonding occasion between you and your dog. Today, there are a lot of training materials that can give you dog training advices. Some trainers and owners even surf and download a step by step guide in training dogs on the internet. Training dogs in particular requires a lot of time, effort and most of all patience. Always remember that dogs are like children. Some learns faster than others. Always make sure that the current lessons or the previous lessons are already well mastered before you start teaching your dog some new tricks again. This is done to avoid confusion. Recap on previous lessons is important so that your dog will never forget what you have taught him.

Having a dog around will simply mean that you are accepting new sets of responsibilities. Training dogs is a routinely thing that you must practice everyday. Never rush any lessons when you train your dog. Some tricks takes a longer time to learn compared to others. If you want your dog to simply be a pet then you can only train him with basic tricks and basic practices. But, if you are planning on having your dog as a companion or a friend, then a more detailed dog training advice is what you need. You can start your training with a simple routine everyday especially if you are just training puppies. Never train your dog if you had a bad day in the office because you are already frustrated and you should not channel these negative feelings toward your dog. Dogs are sensitive. They can sense these frustrations and if you started to vent these out negatively, they will become scared and unfit for any training. The proper place to train a dog at first is inside your home because he might find it difficult to focus when you’re in the park. There are too many things that are happening around him. Aside from that, most of the dog training advice will tell all trainers and owners to refrain from hitting their dogs. You should not hit your dog at all because hitting them will not make them absorbs each lesson faster but instead they will start to learn and build a more aggressive character.

The most effective way on how to make your dog follow your command or order is to reward or praise them every now and then especially if they have been a good dog. Dogs are similar to human beings. They also wanted to be praised, acknowledged and rewarded. Other types of dog training advice will tell you to treat your dogs by giving him snacks whenever he fully learns new tricks because some trainers believe that even dogs need some motivation and these treats serve just that.

Puppy Socialization – Don’t Neglect This Important Part of Training Your Dog

Let’s face it, as a new dog owner, you probably haven’t thought too much about puppy socialization.  However, this is a very important part of dog training.  Many cases of canine aggression could have been prevented if the dog’s owner had only known how to socialize a puppy.

Why Is It So Important To Socialize Your Dog?

When you expose your dog to lots of different people, different animals, and different places, he learns for himself that new sights, sounds, and people are fun, not scary.

It’s better to start socializing your dog while he’s still a puppy.  You may not know that the best age to socialize a puppy is when he’s between the ages of three and twelve weeks.  A young dog who has good experiences with new people, other dogs, and even cats will be much friendlier and less fearful of people.  This helps to prevent aggressive dog behavior towards strangers when he gets older.

However, it’s never too late to socialize your dog.  It may take a little longer with an older dog, but you can still use canine socialization in order to help your pooch overcome a fear of strangers and be a happier, more trustworthy friend.

What’s The Best Way To Socialize A Puppy?

Actually it’s not that difficult to socialize your dog, if you’re willing to make a little effort.

Many dog trainers suggest a puppy preschool.  This is a series of group-training classes for puppies and their owners.  Usually there are about 10 puppies and their people, along with a couple of dog trainers.  During these classes, the puppies start to learn basic dog obedience commands like sit, stay, and others.

But the obedience lessons aren’t the most important part of puppy preschool.  The play sessions are where your puppy learns essential social skills.  During the play sessions, the puppies are let off their leashes and allowed to play with each other.  Why is this important?

First, your puppy is learning how to get along with unfamiliar dogs.

Second, since there are other dog owners and a couple of dog trainers present, this means lots of unfamiliar people, too.  This is a great way for your puppy to learn not to be afraid of new people.

Third, it’s a controlled environment.  The dog trainers make sure things don’t get too wild.

Don’t Stop Puppy Socialization Too Soon

Many dog owners make the mistake of thinking that since their dog has been to puppy preschool, their puppy is now socialized.  This mistaken idea can lead to problems later on.

It’s important to continue to expose your young dog to new faces, new animals, and new places.  Sometimes puppies who seemed to be well socialized at a younger age “forget” those early lessons.  By the time your dog is between eight months and two years old, he may become fearful of people and start showing canine aggression towards strangers.

Here’s some food for thought:  even though your puppy has learned basic skills during his first few months, it’s important to keep reinforcing puppy socialization lessons throughout your dog’s life.

4 Dog Training Tips For Handling Overly Aggressive Dogs

Here Are Four Dog training Tips To Give A try , Before Making The Decision To putting Your Pet down.

1. Training sessions

The first thing you want to do is build the confidence and security of your dog by setting up training sessions. Every dog is going to have some kind of fear whether it is other people on walks, kids running around, or other dogs approaching them. For this reason, you want to set up a controlled environment to ease this tension. You can have a friend meet up with you when you go on a walk and have the friend give your dog a treat. Things like this will help them become comfortable.

2. Socialization

Many times an aggressive dog is not used to being around other dogs and as a result, they will show aggression. Fortunately, you can alter this personality and teach them to enjoy the company of other dogs. Start out by keeping your dog on a leash in an area with a few other dogs that are calm and comfortable. If your dog shows signs up anger, hold the leash tight and give it a yank here and there. Show them they need to learn to play nice.

3. Avoid aggressive adult dogs

The last thing you want to do is place your dog with an aggressive older dog. This is one of the most important dog training tips to take into consideration. Think of it as being similar to people; you do not want to surround yourself with negative people. Instead, you want to surround yourself with confident, positive and successful people. The same holds true for dogs as you want to surround them with calm and playful dogs.

4. Muzzle

The last of the dog training tips is to purchase a muzzle to use during socializing and obedience lessons. It is important you familiarize your dog with it by placing it on just before feeding it or before playing in the yard. Then, it will not be a problem placing it on before these sessions. While training your dog, you do not want them to attack another dog or person. The muzzle is a precaution and can be removed as your dog begins to make progress.

5 Tips To Get The Most Out Of Your Dog Training

5 Tips To Get The Most Out Of Your Dog Training

Whether you have an aggressive dog with behavior issues or a puppy that is struggling with potty training, effective dog training can solve all of your problems. It is not always your pet’s fault as they are doing what is innate. But with the proper guidance you can have them trained the way you want. Here are five tips to help you get the most out of your training.

1. Patience

The first tip you must abide by is being patient with your dog. You cannot expect them to completely change overnight. It takes time for them to learn what they are being taught and apply that into their daily lives. The last thing you want to do is get impatient and frustrated with them.

2. Consistency

While it does take time for them to learn, consistency is absolutely vital. If you work with them one day and then take a few days off, they will have forgotten everything you taught them. Take 15 to 30 minutes out of your day to work with your pup and teach them something new. Not only will you be able to train them on a specific problem, but you can also teach them new tricks.

3. Positivity

Having a negative attitude is going to get you nowhere with your dog training. Not only will it frustrate you, but it will create discouragement toward your dog. To get the best results, show them support and encouragement. Just as people do, dogs need reinforcement that they can and will succeed.

4. Use what’s best for your dog

All over the internet you will find a plethora of different techniques and programs that will supposedly guide you in the right direction. What you will quickly learn is not every method works for you and your dog. Instead, you have to search for the proper technique and training method that will work for your dog.

5. Make it fun

The last tip to help you get the best results with your dog training is to make it fun. Look at it as a time that you and your dog get to bond and have a good time together as oppose to a time you are being forced to spend with them. If you keep your training at 15 to 30 minutes per day, your dog will enjoy the time and truly take in what you are teaching. Throw in some toys with the sessions and it will be a lesson well taught.

No matter how much intelligent your dog breed it, it is still an animal with basic animal instincts. So, you need to follow some good dog training tips in order to train your pet.

Basic dog training tips
If you have brought a new furry friend at home, you must know about different training types and some important steps to follow. Following these dog training tips will surely make the training session easy.

Crate Training: Crate is a home for your dog and you should make him feel like this only. Never use a crate for punishment and try to spend as much with him while he is in his crate. This will make him get used to it. Moreover, it will solve many other problems like anxiety, excessive barking and house breaking.

Obedience Training: Obedience is one of the most important things told by all dog training tips. Dog obedience training helps you gain command over your puppy and give them commands to follow. Be it a new pup or the old dog, this training is extremely useful for the owners to maintain an alpha leadership position in the house and act as a master.

Leash Training: One of the other important dog training tips is the use of leash training. This will help control him and bring into a calm state. Leash training controls the unnecessary excited behavior of your dog and help respond to your commands. If your dog pulls the leash, make him sit by pulling the leash and realize that pulling is associated with the command of stop walking.

Act as a leader: A dog tends to be the leader of the pack and dominate everyone else. Acting as an alpha leader of the home by the dog owner is among other important dog training tips. Always remember that dog training a difficult phase for you and not for your dog. So, you need to behave and position yourself as the alpha leader of the pack & control the situation. You should behave in such a way that your furry friend needs not worry about his protection.

Consistency
Besides above mentioned dog training tips and techniques, an important factor that cannot be ignored is the consistency. If you will train your pup or dog only when you have time, it will confuse him and consequently he will stop following your commands. Simple Dog Training Tricks, Tips

Hi there,

Are you battling an unruly, rebellious, untrained dog?

On the lookout for a few good dog training tricks tips?

Don’t get where to begin?

Check out more Dog Training Tricks Tips at http://www.dogtrainingtrickstips.com

I used to be in the same position until I went back to basics and started to understand what my dog really needed – only after that was I in a position to learn how to give it to them. Countless people make the mistaken idea that their dog is way smarter than they really are. In truth, your dog just reacts to you. They want to become part of the pack, they need to be established – your puppy is still an animal but with animal instincts. As soon as I had grasped this simple notion I was able to regulate any negative behaviors by focussing on altering how my furry companion expressed those instincts. I no longer needed to shout at or discipline my dog – and if I can do it then you definitely can too!

There are a few basic things that you need to know while training your dog that can make the whole procedure a good deal faster and easier across the board.

gives your dog  home that he can call his own. Be sure that you spend some time ‘at home’ with your dog in his crate so he will get used to it. Trust me , you will see that this extremely useful since using a crate can help later with house breaking, bark reduction, as well as any anxiety problems that your dog may possibly experience.

could be a frustrating period for both you and your dog.  I discovered it was best to help my dog to achieve a controlled, calm state. That made him much more responsive to instructions without getting carried away about taking a walk. Once out walking there is just one thing to remember – As soon as your pet pulls on the leash , halt and get them to sit unmoving beside you before starting over again. He will immediately discover that not pulling on the leash = a great walk. It really is that easy!

I have to confess, I learned this one from Cesar Milan, aka the Dog Whisperer on TV. He made it look very easy – and it truly is!  Additionally it is the most effective method I’ve used to maintain harmony around the house. My youngest, Heidi, is a real handful but I can have her sit down, turn over, and submit in barely seconds just by giving her ‘the look’ of assertion. She knows that I am the leader, the pack leader, and can feel secure knowing that I will look after her.

is just not readily available where I live but can be a good supplement to home training. You’ll often find out some great dog training tricks tips from an obedience class no matter if you have got a brand new puppy or are simply having difficulty controlling your adult dog.

The one thing that all dog training tricks and tips have in common is the need for consistency. Your dog may seem clever, and in many ways he is, nevertheless a great deal of what he learns is through rote learning in reaction to a repeated, consistent environment. If you only make him sit prior to going out when you have time for it, he will become bewildered and excited and cease following your orders. By all means establish rules, but you (and everyone else in your house) must be consistent with them. So that’s about it for my first blog post – I’m sure I have said enough for one ‘session’ – but I’ll be back!
